This slow-digesting shake contains 24g of premium micellar casein for peak conditioning before and after high-intensity workouts. With 680mg of calcium to support muscle function and 0.5% fat with no added sugars, it's the ideal protein supplement for elite athletes.
Indications
Casein proteins are sensitive to pH levels and form a gel when they come into contact with the acidic environment of the stomach. Due to this, they can take up to twice as long as other protein sources to break down into amino acid subcomponents. These qualities make casein proteins ideal for preserving muscle and acting as an "anti-catabolic" protein. It is recommended to consume casein protein between meals or before going to bed, as it is often referred to as "night time protein."
Directions
Add one heaped scoop of Gold Standard 100% Casein with 300 to 350 ml (10 to 12oz) of water or preferred beverage. Use ON 100% Casein Protein first thing in the morning, immediately before bed, in place of small meals and/or any other time when delayed protein absorption is desired. To encourage a positive nitrogen balance, consume approximately one gram of protein per pound of body weight per day from a combination of high protein foods and supplements. For even better results, consume your daily protein allotment over several small meals spread evenly throughout the day.
